Speaker Information:
Suzanne R. Varco is the managing partner of the Environmental Law Group LLP in San Diego, California. Ms. Varco has over 25 years of experience in environmental law. Ms. Varco’s practice emphasizes representation of private interests and public entities in various brownfield redevelopment matters. Ms. Varco has extensive experience in hazardous waste compliance and cleanup, CEQA compliance and litigation, transactional due diligence involving environmental concerns, environmental permitting and compliance, underground storage tank issues, and environmental cost recovery and grant funding. Ms. Varco works extensively with local, state and federal regulatory agencies.
Wayne Rosenbaum develops compliance strategies for clients regulated under the storm water provisions of the Clean Water Act, the Endangered Species Act, the California Environmental Quality Act and other state and federal resources statutes. Relying on his broad experience with environmental permits and environmental management systems, Mr. Rosenbaum helps clients develop and implement solutions to environmental regulations that are both legally defensible and economically sustainable. Mr. Rosenbaum also assists his clients in defending their regulatory compliance programs against challenges by regulatory agencies and environmental groups. Mr. Rosenbaum has extensive experience addressing environmental issues related to CEQA and NEPA.
