Derral Van Winkle, P.G., is the Environmental Restoration Product Line Leader for NAVFAC Southwest, a role he has conducted for the last nine years. Mr. Van Winkle is a Professional Geologist with over 30 years of experience conducting environmental cleanup work with all DoD services, most recently with the Restoration Program for NAVFAC Southwest. Prior to working for NAVFAC Southwest, Derral worked for twenty years in the environmental consulting field supporting U.S Government and State agencies and private sector clients. He has successfully worked directly for and closely with federal and state regulatory agencies across the United States, including USEPA Region 9, and the various state regulatory agencies within the Southwest AOR. His roles have varied from a project chemist analyzing samples in a laboratory to field geologist/geophysicist, project manager, and supervisor of a multi-disciplinary team that addressed compliance, storm water, and restoration investigation and cleanup projects.
