The City of San Diego set an ambitious goal to reduce greenhouse gas emission 50% by the year 2035 through the adoption of a Climate Action Plan. The City’s Sustainability Department works to keep this goal on track through large initiatives such as Community Choice Energy and mobility campaigns like MoveFreeSD. This presentation will provide an overview of the City’s Climate Action Plan and actions to date.
Ashley Rosia-Tremonti has a decade of experience as an air quality scientist, working primarily in the energy industry before taking her current position at the City of San Diego in the Sustainability Department. Ashley primarily works on the implementation, monitoring and reporting aspects of the City's Climate Action Plan which includes internal and external outreach, collaboration with regional and state agencies, greenhouse gas inventory development, tracking and reporting citywide performance metrics and conducting analysis on larger initiatives such as the 100% renewable program.
$35 for members, $45 for non-members, add $5 if reservation is not received by 5pm the Friday before. Online registration will end at noon on the Monday before the event. Walk-ins with no reservation will be charged an extra $10 and be asked to wait until those with reservations are seated.
