Doug spent the last 15 years developing wastewater, drinking water, and stormwater projects in Mexico and U.S. as a project manager for EPA. He is also EPA's lead on ocean desalination issues. Before joining the border team, Doug wrote water discharge permits for municipal wastewater treatment plants, desalination plants, coal and copper mines, tuna canneries, paper-mills, refineries, and power plants.
Doug holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University. He enjoys open-water swimming, travel and writing.
