Cost:

$30 for members, $35 for non-members, add $5 if reservation is not received by 5pm the Friday before. Online registration will end at noon on the Monday before the event. Walk-ins with no reservation will be charged an extra $10 and be asked to wait until those with reservations are seated.

Please note that confirmed reservations will be invoiced regardless of attendance.

Abstract:

This presentation will focus updating the SDEP group on what's going on in the Department and where DEH is going in the future.

Speaker Information:

After graduating from UC Davis with a BS in Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning, Elise Rothschild began working at the Sacramento County Environmental Management Department.  In the 28 years that she was there she promoted through the Environmental Specialist series to ultimately become Chief of the Environmental Compliance Division where she managed 20 environmental regulatory programs such as the CUPA programs, Incident Response Team, Enforcement Team, LEA, Storm Water, Medical Waste, Site Remediation, Cross Connection, Land Use, Wells, Small Water Systems, Liquid Waste and Business/Multi-Family Recycling Programs.  In 2015, Elise was appointed by Governor Brown as the Deputy Director of the Hazardous Waste Management Program for the Department of Toxic Substances Control.  Wanting to come back to her hometown and local government work, in June 2016, Elise became the Director of Environmental Health for the County of San Diego.  Elise has held positions on the CUPA Forum Board and is the recipient of the Outstanding CUPA Individual Award and is a life time member of the California Hazardous Materials Investigators Association (CHMIA).

Directions from the South: Take I-5 or I-805 N to La Jolla Village Dr. Turn left off the freeway onto La Jolla Village Dr. Turn left on Villa La Jolla Dr. Turn right into Rock Bottom parking lot.
