Port of San Diego Needs Heaps of Environmental Consulting  Help with Numerous  Fun, Exciting and Fully Funded Projects !


Abstract:

The Port of San Diego’s Environmental and Land use Department (ELUM)  is responsible for implementing the Port’s goals for sustainability, storm water, other NPDES, biological resource, ACOE, CEQA, NEPA, Coastal, long range planning, and hazardous materials compliance, and beyond compliance initiatives.  This talk will discuss the Port and the ELUM department’s organization , and highlight projects,  with particular emphasis on past and ongoing hazardous material release site restorations undertaken by the Port and its tenants.

Cost:

$30 for members, $35 for non-members, add $5 if reservation is not received by 5pm the Friday before. Online registration will end at noon on the Monday before the event. Walk-ins with no reservation will be charged an extra $10 and be asked to wait until those with reservations are seated.

Please note that confirmed reservations will be invoiced regardless of attendance.


Speaker Information:

Paul Brown has worked for the Port of San Diego since 1993 in the Environmental, Real Estate, and Maritime departments.  Previously he was a consultant for EPA and Marine Platoon leader.  He graduated in 1984 from the University of California, BA  history. He lives with his wife and teenage son in La Jolla.  His daughter is hopefully attending her final year at Tulane University in New Orleans.  He is originally from Bakersfield Ca, where he supported himself in his early adult years in agricultural chemical distribution.

BACON CHEDDAR BURGER aged cheddar cheese, hickory bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickles, red onion, and BBQ jalapeno dressing, served with French Fries 

GRILLED BRUSCHETTA CHICKEN - grilled chicken breast topped with fresh mozzarella and bruschetta. Served with grilled seasoned broccoli

Directions from the North: Take I-5 or I-805 S to La Jolla Village Dr. Turn right off the freeway onto La Jolla Village Dr. Make your first left on Villa La Jolla Dr. Turn right into Rock Bottom parking lot.

Directions from the South: Take I-5 or I-805 N to La Jolla Village Dr. Turn left off the freeway onto La Jolla Village Dr. Turn left on Villa La Jolla Dr. Turn right into Rock Bottom parking lot.
